Miller Lite Memorial Day Weekend Celebration at Highland Speedway Saturday, May 26, 2012 featuring $2 Miller Lite Beer Special, the Becker Jewelers Late Models, Steve Schmitt Modifieds, Miller Lite Crates, SportMods, Bombers, and $250 to win Hornets!
The Miller Lite Girls will be in attendance and will have give aways! Veterans and Retired Military get half price general admission to the grandst…and, must present your VFW, American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, or Retired Military card at the ticket booth. The Highland VFW will be giving out red, white, & blue balloons in the grandstand and they will be accepting donations for HONOR FLIGHT to raise money for WWII Veterans.
Tomorrow night is a fundraiser for the VFW HONOR FLIGHT. This is a group of about 74 veterans and a sponsor that the HONOR FLIGHT program fly and put up in Washington, D.C. so they have a chance in their lifetime to see all the veteran and war memorials. There will be balloons that for a donation you can put a veterans name on and if they have passed there will be a tribute at intermission. The live veterans balloons you can keep. There will be silent auction items here as well, we have 2 of Randy Korte’s 2012 t-shirts to auction off, 1 large Randy Korte hoodie, and the best are 1 of this years Randy Korte side panels signed by him from his first race back, and Rick Salter donated his Air Force sponsored hood of his Air Force car from last year!!!!!! Thank you guys so much for these items be sure to come and bid on these items! From what I’m hearing it should be an awesome tribute to all our past and present veterans!!!!!!!
Join us for a great Memorial Day Weekend! The KidsModz will be running also! Pits Open at 3:00pm, Grandstands Open at 5:00pm, Pill Draw by 5:15pm, Drivers Meeting at 5:15pm, Hot Laps at 5:30pm, Racing Starts at 6:00pm. General Admission is $12.00, kids 10 and under are free with a paid adult admission.
