HIGHLAND, IL (August 20, 2014) Highland Speedway is proud to present the Gateway Vintage Car Association Family Fun Weekend on Friday & Saturday, August 22 & 23, 2014. This weekend also brings the Championship Weekend for the UMP Sammie’s KidModz on Friday and Saturday night. This exciting weekend of racing action at Highland Speedway will feature the Gateway Vintage Cars and KidModz on Friday night and on Saturday night the UMP B-Dry SportMods join the fun for a $500 to Win race. The Helvetia Sharpshooters will not be opening the Concession Stands this weekend, so we are encouraging everyone to bring their own food and drinks on Friday and Saturday night. We will be allowing everyone to bring in their own food and coolers this Friday and Saturday only.
Due to the weather predictions regarding the heat we will have later starting times this weekend. Friday and Saturday the pits will open at 4:00 pm, Pill Draw by 6:30pm, Drivers Meeting at 6:45, Hot Laps at 7:00 pm, Racing starts at 7:30 pm. Grandstands will be closed on Friday night, pit passes only. Grandstands open on Saturday at 6:30 pm. On Saturday Box Seats are open seating (first come first serve) $8.00. General Grandstand Admission is $8.00, kids 10 and under are free with a paid adult admission. Pit Passes are $30.00 (this is a 2 day pit pass, if you only come one day the pit pass price is still $30), pit passes for kids 10 and under are $15.00 (Kids in the pits MUST have parental supervision at all times!)
Join us for Daum Insurance Championship Night at Highland Speedway on Saturday, September 6, 2014. This fun filled night will be filled with racing action featuring the UMP Late Models, UMP Steve Schmitt Modifieds, UMP B-Dry SportMods, and the UMP Hamel Coop Street Stocks.
