 2010 Factory Stock Rules

                     All rules may be changed or added to at any time! 

• Highland Speedway will not tolerate fighting (see fighting policy on the last page of these rules).  Anyone (driver, pit crew, owner, etc.) who leaves the car’s pit area and enters another driver’s pit area will be asked to load the car and leave the premises!
• It is the responsibility of all participants to know the rules.
• Situations not covered in any of these rules will be handled at the discretion of the track promoter as they arise. 
• Any violation of these rules are considered cheating and upon the first offense, all Highland Speedway points earned through the date of the offence will be stripped from the driver; the driver will start with zero points the following week.

Decisions of the track promoter are FINAL!!!

1. Any four-cylinder car or truck with maximum wheelbase of one hundred thirteen inches (113”) with complete stock body, frame, and suspension. No bracing anywhere, except inside driver’s compartment. Dash, steering, and pedals must remain stock for that make and model. Dash is optional. Pop off steering wheels may be used. All insulation under hood must be removed. No slab bodies. No 4-wheel drive.
2. Roll Cage: Full four-post roll cage must be used. Must have minimum of three door bars in driver’s side (plate recommended).
3. Stock carburetor/fuel system for that makes and model of vehicle. No turbo chargers. Stock air intake assembly only. Aftermarket air cleaner must fit OEM air box and may be washable. No alterations to air box.
4. Stock transmission for that make and model of vehicle you are racing.
5. Battery can be left under hood or moved to the center of the trunk or in front of fuel cell.
6. Stock unaltered rear end for that makes and model of vehicle. Reinforcing of rear end allowed. Bar behind the fuel cell across frame.
7. Passenger tires must be 60 series or taller only. Wheels and tires must be of same size left to right on the front and rear. No grooving or siphoning of tires. Racing wheels are optional.  No stock steel wheels on right side. Wheel studs can be drilled and bigger. No bead lock wheels. One inch lug nuts are mandatory. Wheels cannot proceed past body. Tread must be 7“maximum. Heavier spindles can be used on the right side. There must be a minimum tire pressure of 30 lb on all 4 tires after the race by the track tire gauge. If you are found illegal all points and money for the night will be forfeited.
8. Gas Tank: If gas tank is in front of rear axle, it is ok to leave. If gas tank is behind rear axle, it must be replaced with a fuel cell or a boat tank. Tanks must be mounted safely. Fuel cells do not have a maximum size.
9. Driver’s door must be welded or chained shut. Driver side door plates are recommended.
10.  Must have approved fire suit. This is for your safety. Gloves and shoes are recommended.
11.  Must have dot or Snell approved helmet.
12.  All glass must be removed.  Stock windshield will be allowed.
13.  Approved racing safety belts and shoulder harnesses mandatory and must be 5 yrs or newer. Date tag must be visible. Racing seat is mandatory.
14.  Wiring under dash may be removed.
15.  Added weight to car will not be allowed.
16.  There must be an 18 inch number on each door. A 5 inch number must be on the right side head light or the upper right hand windshield. This is mandatory. All numbers must be easily visible and readable by the track officials. In the situation of duplicate numbers the track officials may assign a letter to you. It is your responsibility to add this letter to your car; failure to do so will cause you to be scored last for your event.
17.  Cars must be neat appearing with no loose or hanging sheet metal. Bumpers must be completely covered or capped.
18.  All cars must have a chain loop on the front and rear bumpers for towing purposes. This is mandatory.
19.  All cars are subject to a minimum inspection at anytime.
20.  Window net is mandatory. Three window bars with screen are mandatory. 
21.  On rear wheel drive cars, drive shaft loop is mandatory.
22.  Fuel line: If fuel cell is used, fuel line must be run under car. Copper, aluminum or steel with no more than 6 inches of rubber on each end is allowed.
23.  A kill switch will be added to all cars and will be located behind the driver on down bar.
24.  All struts must be stock.
25.  Aftermarket or stock headers are allowed.
26.  Motors must be stock. Computers must be stock for that make and model of car.
27.  No performance parts aftermarket or factory excluding aftermarket headers and air filter.
28.  No aftermarket transmission parts (no lockers of any kind).
29.  No altering of performance of wiring harness.  (no micro switches, etc)
30.  No brake bias valve. Stock proportioning valves allowed. All 4 brakes must be operational.
31.  No cutting or heating of springs.
32.  Car must maintain 15” vacuum at 1,000 rpm with maximum 200 lb compression in each cylinder.
33.  Stock adjustments on rear axles. Rear tow must be within factory adjustments.
34.  Maximum 1” tolerance on wheel base from left side to right side.
35.  If you get caught illegal before the Feature, all points will be forfeited and you are out for the remainder of the night. If you get caught illegal after the Feature, all points will be forfeited and no money for the night will be given. There will be a one week suspension. When you return to the Highland Speedway, car must be teched before competing in any race.
36.  A specific part may be protested for $100.00. $50 goes to car being protested if found legal and $50 to the track.

IF IT DOESN’T SAY YOU CAN DO IT, IT IS NOT LEGAL.

Situations not covered in any of these rules will be handled at the discretion of the track officials as they arise.

FIGHTING POLICY
First offense – The first time a person starts a fight, they would be banned from Fairgrounds one year from date of occurrence.
Second offense – The second time a person starts a fight, they would be banned from Fairgrounds for three years from date of this occurrence.
Third offense – The third time a person starts a fight they would be banned from Fairgrounds for life.
NOTE:  Anyone returning to the Fairgrounds during the time they are banned will be charged with criminal trespassing. Fairgrounds consist of the pits, the grandstand, the parking lot and the entire Lin
