Driver Safety on Track Update

Highland Speedway will be enforcing the existing following rules for all classes effective immediately:  Anytime that a driver exits a race car on the track a red flag will be issued.  Drivers are not allowed to exit their race car on the track unless directed by a Highland Speedway Official or unless it is an emergency situation.  Any driver that exits their car under any other circumstances to cause a delay in racing and/or to approach other race cars on the track will be punished.

We are still working out the details of either disqualification or establishing a fine system that will be assessed if this situation occurs.  No matter what, some form of punishment will be issued.  Anyone that is concerned with what an emergency consists of feel free to contact Track Promotor, Scott Kuhn.  The drivers intent will be quite obvious if they do need to exit their car due to an emergency situation, or if their car is exited for other intentions.  Unfortunately due to recent events at another track last weekend it has caused a number of tracks to look at their current on track procedures and learn from that situation.  Driver safety is our main concern and reason for enforcing these rules.
