July 18, 2015 races

Highland Speedway regrets to announce that this weeks races are cancelled. Fresh dirt was brought in to improve the straightaways and ensure that we keep the good track that we have had all summer. Everyone knows that with all the rain this year, all tracks have had trouble racing. We have had 3 wide racing all season. However we are unable to get the surface into good racing condition for this week. We will continue working it and will be ready to go for the Fair race on July 25th. Come out and enjoy the Fair this week and we will see you at the Fair race.

Updates for Highland Speedway

The Greg McCray Memorial race has been rescheduled for August 15. Scouting Night will now be June 20. Memorial Weekend – Salute to our Soldiers! All Active Duty, Reservist and Guard will recieve free admission to the Grandstands (I.D. Required), Retirees/Veterans – Half Price Admission (I.D. Required) Bring the kids early. Starting at 4:00 pm, kids play free in the “500 Playtona Play House” – Compliments of Tribouts Carnival Supply. Jr. Fan Club enjoy free gift bags this week. Get ready for some fast hard fought racing. All the drivers have been delivering great racing with lots of excitement this year – watch them run 3-wide battling for a win!

April 18th Wrap Up Article

Mike Harrison, a 3 time UMP National points Champion in the Modified Division reached a big milestone for his career on Saturday night at Highland Speedway notching feature win number 400 at the track where it all started for him 20 years ago. The win for Harrison would not be an easy one but he would not have it any other way. After getting around a host of drivers he set his sites on leader Brett Korves. Harrison, running the high side wrestled the lead from Korves with a hand full of laps to go but Korves hung right with him trying to regain the lead.
