HIGHLAND, IL (April 30, 2014) Saturday, May 3, 2014 brings the Greg McCray Memorial Night and Kids Dash for Cash for the Highland Speedway Junior Fan Club members Ages 7 & 8. Greg’s family has worked hard to make this night possible. Greg loved racing and had a special fondness for the Modified class. To honor Greg his family has worked hard collecting donations to increase the Modified payout for this fun filled tribute night. They have also collected enough to raise the purse to a $3000 to Win and $200 to Start Modified payout. They are still waiting for all the donations to be turned in, but with what has been promised that is what they payout will be, hopefully. It is will a fun filled night of remembrance and celebrating the life of Greg and what he meant to local racing. The Junior Fan Club members can’t wait to get back and the track and love getting into the action with the Kids Dash for Cash, this week is for ages 7 & 8. Any drivers, teams, fans, supporters, and businesses that would like to make a donation to the Junior Fan Club for the Dash for Cash it would be greatly appreciated. They are looking for cash, prizes, toys, gift certificates, racing shirts, anything. This exciting night of racing action at Highland Speedway will feature the UMP Late Models, UMP Steve Schmitt Modifieds, UMP B-Dry Solutions SportMods, UMP Hamel Coop Street Stocks, & the Daum Insurance Outlaw Micros. It will be an awesome night of racing action. Come out and see who will end up in the CC Food Mart Victory Lane for the Greg McCray Memorial Night. Pits Open at 3:00 pm, Grandstands Open at 5:30 pm, Pill Draw by 6:00 pm, Drivers Meeting at 6:15 pm, Hot Laps at 6:30 pm, Racing Starts at 7:00 pm. Box Seats are $15.00, General Grandstand Admission is $12.00, kids 10 and under are free with a paid adult admission. Pit Passes are $30.00 and pit passes for kids 10 and under are $15.00 (Kids in the pits must have parental supervision at all times.)
